No wonder I've felt like I wasn't getting anywhere. If you dont' look at your work, how're you supposed to know if it's any good.
depression.
Am I depressed because I failed to blog, or did I fail to blog becaues I am depressed. Anyway, going through some of this stuff is really cheering me up, and I'm finding stuff that I didn't reallize I had.
looking through some older pictures.
I was looking through some pictures from a couple of weeks ago that I didn't really sit down to look at. The only effects I've put on this picture are color corrections. This shot was actually taken in the wrong settings. I bumped the dial on the camera from p to s, and this was taken at a very slow shutter speed. opps, it turned out kina cool.
Ideas
I'm not really that happy with the results of this picture, but I like the idea. I was trying to take a shot of the writing in the dirt on this window. I knew the reflection would be in the picture as well, but I don't think I framed the shot very well. This is def. something I want to play with a lot in the future. I wonder what I could do to make the writing stand out more... flash might help, it'd up the reflectiveness of the glass, and cut out a lot of what you can see inside the building.
hm... it's raining today, I wonder if those windows are still dirty. that could be a fun combo.

didn't reallize it was this dirty
Nothing Like the right lighting to bring out the truth about cleanliness. Looking at my keyboard I didn't reallize it needed cleaning this bad.
just a bit borred this evening.
I don't need to sleep. I'll have plenty of time to sleep when I'm dead. Besides, I have ridiculous pictures to take.

a sad note.
I don't like to end my night of posting (or for those of you reading this, start your reading today) on such a down note, but for some reason there are things in the world that when you see them you just have to take record of them. I walked by this bird twice before I even saw it. it's sad, but I guess life must go on. And sometimes not. (and now for those of you reading this... on to happier things.)
Team work! yay.
I liked part of each of these pictures, but each had their own unique problems. Chris create d something beautiful out of my attempts at being a photographer. If you want to see what real photography looks like check this out. Thanks man, I appreciate all your support, and instruction over the last few months.
something beautiful
I don't know who's camera this picture came out of, but I'm sure it couldn't have been mine. My hands just arn't that steady.
he he... let's see if my mother checks this blog. I'm getting a print of this framed for her for mother's day. (I know, I'm a bad person it's late, but I'm poor. that's my story and I"m stickin' to it.)
more shots from the bike ride.
I can't decide which of these I like better. I do like the way the foreground is fuzzy, and the back ground which is seemingly nothing is in focus. I guess that's emphasized more in the 2nd one because of the apparatus right there. But, the first one reminds me of an old poem... something about being in the woods, and a fork in the road... and I took the one less traveled.
I'm a slacker, cut me a break.
Ok I've been slacking off on my photo blog. I'm a terrible person. (I keep telling people that, but they don't believe me.) This is a picture I don't know if I could have done any better. On sunday I went for a bike ride with the camera... As you can see it wasn't all sunny skies. I stopped at a kroger to get out of the biggest of the downpours. I was playing with the camera killing time, and trying to figure out the best way to shoot in the rain, and this guy comes running around the corner. He's all worried about getting wet with a bag over his head, but he stopped for just a second so I could get this shot. Thank you sir, you are a wonderful person.
